What electrical supply is needed; does the sauna work well with steam or are special precautions needed?

The heater get directly wired with a 240 volt line. A typical heater for this size of sauna will require a 30 amp line. You can run the Tylo Sauna Heaters dry, or put water on the rocks for a steam effect in the sauna. Our kits come with the rocks and a bucket and ladle.
