Is this unit suitable both indoors and out?

Hello Gary, The infrared saunas are not suitable for outdoors. They have electronics in the ceiling and infrared energy is not capable of overcoming cold outdoor ambient temperatures, such as winter conditions. There are a few exceptions to this, such as a covered porch in a southern climate, but the general answer is to not use them in outdoor conditions.
