  • Does the Solstice ship as one individual unit, or is it broken down for set up. Just wondering about moving into building as one unit or in sections. Thanks.
  • The Solstice, as well as all of the infrared saunas ship as broken down kits. They come in a couple of boxes with the floor panel, wall panels, ceiling panel. There are some great pictures on my customer photos page from a customer who photographed his corner model as he assembled it. See #8. #10 also shows a new sauna on a shipping pallet: http://www.saunasandstuff.com/sauna-customer-pictures-and-reviews/. It typically takes about an hour to assemble the sauna.

  • Hello Kelly. The infrared saunas are not really for outdoor use. Outdoor saunas have traditional electric heaters in them because infrared is not effective in overcoming cool ambient air temperatures. For example, if it is 60 degrees outside, the infrared heaters will struggle to get the air in the sauna warm enough to be comfortable and get you sweating. Infrared is thermal energy, mostly heating what it bumps into. It really does not directly heat the air. Traditional sauna heaters heat the air, and can work a little longer to overcome cold (even sub-zero) outdoor temperatures.
